Spirit Halloween Tung Tung Sahur and Ballerina Cappuccina kids costumes

Spirit Halloween is selling the internet’s favorite Italian brainrot characters as costumes. Two officially licensed kids looks are online now: a Tung Tung Sahur costume for $44.99 and a Ballerina Cappuccina costume for $49.99.

What Italian Brainrot Is

Italian brainrot is a wave of AI-generated meme characters with absurd names and surreal designs that took over TikTok this year. Tung Tung Sahur is a wooden bat with a face and stick-thin limbs, and Ballerina Cappuccina is a ballerina whose head is a cappuccino cup. The clips are short, strange, and endlessly remixed, and the characters have become playground-level famous with kids, which is exactly the audience Spirit is aiming these costumes at. Now two of the best known have official Halloween costumes, and they have been going around TikTok all over again, including a clip from a Spirit Halloween employee reacting to spotting them in the store. Spirit lists both as officially licensed, though the product pages do not name who holds the license.

The Two Costumes

  • Kids Tung Tung Sahur Costume ($44.99): a wood-grain printed jumpsuit with an oversized character mask. Spirit’s page pitches it as a way to “bring the viral meme sensation to life.” It includes the jumpsuit and mask, in child sizes S, M, and L for ages 6 to 14. The mask is the character’s tall, wood-toned head with big cartoon eyes.

  • Kids Ballerina Cappuccina Costume ($49.99): a pink ballerina dress with a character-inspired cup mask, which Spirit describes as “inspired by a playful internet-famous character.” It includes the dress and mask, in child sizes S, M, and L for ages 6 to 14. The mask is the smiling cappuccino cup, latte art and all.

Both are kids costumes, and there are no adult versions listed. The oversized character masks do the heavy lifting on each look, turning the wearer into the meme itself. “Brainrot” is the internet’s nickname for these characters, not Spirit’s, so you will find the costumes under their character names rather than that label.

Where to Buy

Both costumes are available now at SpiritHalloween.com, and as of this writing both are in stock. Prices and availability can change through the season. They are also turning up in Spirit Halloween stores, so if you would rather try one on, check your nearest shop on the Spirit Halloween store locator.

The costumes are a fast turn on a meme that is barely a year old, and they fit a pattern from Spirit this season of racing internet-famous properties to the shelf. We also covered its Backrooms costumes and its KPop Demon Hunters costumes.
